Omega | Artificial Intelligence Powered Web Search Engine

Téma: Big Data
Typ média: Video
Introduction :
With the advent of the era of big data, Big Data is becoming a central issue for academia and industry. It has been widely used in many technologies and industries, from a search engine to the recommendation system for understanding and targeting customers; from the large-scale databases to data mining applications for optimizing machine and device performance; from scientific research to business intelligence for understanding and optimizing business processes … many aspects of our lives have been affected and made a real big difference today.

What Is Machine Learning?
Machine learning studies computer algorithms for learning to do stuff. The learning that is being done is always based on some sort of observations or data, such as examples (the most common case in this course), direct experience, or instruction. So in general, machine learning is about learning to do better in the future based on what was experienced in the past.Machine learning is a core subarea of artificial intelligence. It is very unlikely that we will be able to build any kind of intelligent system capable of any of the facilities that we associate with intelligence, such as language or vision, without using learning to get there. These tasks are otherwise simply too difficult to solve. Further, we would not consider a system to be truly intelligent if it were incapable of learning since learning is at the core of intelligence. Although a subarea of AI, machine learning also intersects broadly with other fields, especially statistics, but also mathematics, physics, theoretical computer science and more.

Examples Of Machine Learning:
Optical Character Recognition: Categorize Images Of Handwritten Characters By The Letters Represented
Face Detection: Find Faces In Images (or indicate if a face is present)
Spam Filtering: Identify E-Mail Messages As Spam Or Non-Spam
Topic Spotting: Categorize News Articles (say) As To Whether They Are About Politics, Sports, Entertainment, etc.
Spoken Language Understanding: Within the context of a limited domain, determine the meaning of something uttered by a speaker to the extent that it can be classified into one of a fixed set of categories
Medical Diagnosis: diagnose a patient as a sufferer or non-sufferer of some disease
Customer Segmentation: predict, for instance, which customers will respond to a particular promotion
Fraud Detection: identify credit card transactions (for instance) which may be fraudulent in nature weather prediction: predict, for instance, whether or not it will rain tomorrow

Hi my name is Sarp,
Today there are more than 130 trillion individual web pages and it's constantly growing. Most of the web search engines are using a method named "Crawling" and "Indexing".So let's define these 2 terms. If you have been using the internet for while you might know that Google is visiting websites for tracking purposes. And Actually, this process is done by Google’s Spider Crawler. After this process, the results get put on Google’s index.

Crawling essentially means following a path.As I mentioned in the first sentence there are over trillions of web pages and they're growing really fast because of Google's spiders are connecting to each internal, external, back links, copying XML Sitemap, Duplicates Content, META Tag, Pinging and stuff like that.

After putting all of the web pages inside the Data Centers, they're sorting pages by their content and stuff like that. But they keep all of the data inside the Index.Today we are calling this data trash bin "Big Data"!.Because of that sometimes we can't find the perfect result of our search or we can come across with false or spam results.

I have been working up with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Technologies for a long time. This is why I created Omega.

Omega is a personal search engine which uses Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence platforms for your own research.

Let's suppose that you want to find a nice image about Galapagos Island’s Marine Life. It's not a problem. What you should do is just type "Galapagos Island’s Marine Life" keyword inside the search box.In the background, Omega will start Image Processing Algorithms to match the best visual result. Also, It will print out other information.Let’s look at our result.

As you can see, we have found a lot of images about Galapagos Island’s Marine Life.In the right corner, we can find an overview of our search.
Marine Currents = 7 major currents bathe the Islands
Marine Species = 17% of the species are endemic
Best Scuba Diving Season = June - December
Water Temperatures:
Jan - May: 75° - 82°F (24° - 28°C)
June - Dec: 62° - 68°F (17° - 20°C)

Also, Omega helps you to recognize texts, images, video files and etc.It uses Quantum-Omega Search Algorithm to describe these type of files.Let's suppose that you're visiting a foreign country that you don't know about the language. You're walking down the street and there is a lovely restaurant. You want to see the menu but it's all written in Japanese and nobody knows English. What you should do is simple! Grab your mobile phone and open up Omega App.Select
text recognition. This method will open up your mobile phone's camera.Hold your phone on the menu and it will generate the Japanese text to English. It's just that simple!

I believe that I am hearing voices like:
So What's The Deal? or What's the Difference Between Google Search Engine And Omega Search Engine?

Well Beside Google Search Engine, Omega is not using "crawling" or "indexing" methods to gain data. All of the data are connected with Neural Networks. This means that it has a functionality like a human brain.

Neural networks, a beautiful biologically-inspired programming paradigm which enables a computer to learn from observational data.

Neural networks and deep learning currently provide the best solutions to many problems in image recognition, speech recognition, and natural language processing.

I believe that success of a search engine is measured by the satisfaction of its users. Finding user expectation can be a better step for improved user satisfaction. So I have opened up a demo platform to test with real users.

The results are actually shocking ... After 2 weeks of user experience, %99 of the users returned positively and they wanted to resend them this platform to use.
But %1 of the users returned me that it slows down sometimes to search for something on the platform.

Well actually, my laptop is not really powerful as Google's or Microsofts so that I can only give access to 100 people each day.

If I find somewhere more money I will upgrade my processors to enlarge my users.
