My name is Blaise Cloran and I recently submitted my entry into the competition! I'm so happy I decided to enter this competition as already leading USA medical businesses have been re-tweeting my entry and idea. I originally entered the competition because of its unique and fair format, the way it allows the public to vote/like first is a perfect technique and adds a whole new element to the challenge, it also allows everyone's amazing ideas to get recognised and opens up a lot more opportunities than any other science competition out there. Secondly, the use of the format slide share creates a formal presentation to everyone's entry and again is a perfect way for competitors, like myself, to share their ideas. The competition has so many scientific categories that you can base your entry on, this was a huge plus for me when looking to enter, it not only adds diversity but gives you more freedom when experimenting and deciding on your entry. These are the main reasons I entered the scichallenge and ones that I hope encourage others to enter as well, I definitely recommend anyone to enter, it is by far the most original and beneficial science competition out there, even if you don't win there's a huge chance that you will get recognised and commended.
